Synopsis
: 'Jay Jay' is directed by Charan whose latest hit was Gemini. Madhavan is paired with Amoga (debut). Pooja is the other heroine. It is an action-oriented movie. The title is formed from the first alphabets of the lead pair's name in the film, which is Jagan and Jamuna.
Story in breif is that, "It is love at first sight for Madhavan with Amoga. The supports & opposition for Madhavan-Amoga love forms the story's back drop in 'Jay Jay'". 'Search' is the keyword for the plot of the film. The film, says the director, is about romance with a little bit of action weaved in. Unlike his earlier success 'Gemini', where it was action, with a little romance. Heroine Amoha is a Calcutta lass, and as per the story the heroine is supposed to be a Calcutta girl too. Yet another heroine is Pooja, who is already acting in Jeeva's 'Pepsi'. The supporting cast include Charlie who plays the part of an M. L. A, Kalabhavan Mani who plays a comedy role here, Damu, Delhi Ganesh, Jaya Murali, Sweta, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sashi, Adithya, Thennavan and Isaac. 'Thapputhaalangal' Sunderraj, a popular Kannada actor, returns to the Tamil screen after a gap of 15 years. Ceylon Manohar too returns to acting after 23 years and plays the main villain here. Malavika (of 'Anni' fame), and Giri ('Sahana' serial) make their entry into the big screen, with Giri playing the role of Madhavan's friend. There's the Bengali actress Sharmila Ghosh who is also in the cast. There is also a scintillating dance number by Reema Sen, shot at the Vishakapatnam Railway Station with 40 models from Mumbai taking part in the dance.
