Synopsis
:Konji Pesalaam deals with the conflict between a father and his daughter. Rajkiran plays the father role. Sree, the Kannada actress is introduced as the heroine in Tamil. Two young heroes Vamsi and Mukesh also debut in this film. The entire shooting of the film takes place in the rustic locales of Nagarkovil, Ambasamudhram and Chennai. Songs are picturised in Kerala and Kuttralam. Ashok Raja does the cinematography. Konji Pesalaam is slated for November release. Assistant director Kaleeswaran is the director. "When the subject was narrated to me I insisted that Illayaraja sir should only compose the songs for my film. Since its a musical subject Illayaraja’s music is the backbone of the film" muses producer Stanley G.Rajan. Others in the cast include Vijayakumar, Poo Vilangu Mohan, Meera Krishnan, Raman Nayar, Gunasekaran, Priyanka and Theni Kunjarammal.
